ALL THE SAINTS IN FAITH ARE PRAYING
All the saints, in faith, are praying,
“Come, Lord Jesus, come again!
Hasten on, no more delaying,
Bring us to a perfect end.
We are yearning, we are yearning
To declare the last ‘Amen!’”
Christ is but a moment leaving
To prepare our heav'nly home;
Thus He bids us stop our grieving,
As He makes this promise known:
Many mansions, many mansions
Soon will be our very own.
Though we wait, we must be ready,
For the Day is drawing near.
We must watchful be, and steady,
Filled with hope and holy fear.
Come, Lord Jesus! Come, Lord Jesus!
Speed the day when you appear!
All our sorrows will be ending,
All our tears and troubles done,
When Jerusalem, descending,
Makes all heav’n and earth as one.
Then the triumph! Then the triump!
Come, now quickly, conquering Son!
Then the skies will tear asunder
And the trump will loudly sound.
Then the world in watching wonder
Sees the Son as He comes down.
Then all glory, then all glory
Will become the Savior’s crown.
