O LORD, YOU ARE MY TRUE SALVATION

O Lord You are my true salvation, a present help when I’m dismayed,
A guiding light through tribulation—how could I ever be afraid?
O Lord my God, my constant Savior, be with me now ‘til end of days.

Though evildoers may assail me I face my foes with godly cheer.
Though friends and fam’ly all may fail me my heart shall never quake with fear.
O Lord my God, my mighty Savior, lift up my head as You draw near.

One thing I’ve asked with deepest longing: Your beauty to behold above;
Forever in your courts belonging would all my fears and wants remove.
O Lord my God, my glorious Savior, hide me within Your house of love.

My heart does seek to come before You within Your high and holy place,
That I might worthily adore You, now purged of sin and cleansed by grace.
O Lord my God, my holy Savior, cast me not off, nor hide Your face.

I know your goodness to the living will be revealed in coming days.
So make me strong, let no misgiving suppress in me a song of praise.
O Lord my God, my faithful Savior, teach me to wait upon Your ways.
